An educational short story with a hint of romance.

In the war-torn landscape where the Communist city of Mare clashes incessantly with the Democratic city of Silva, two wrung-out leaders decide to call a truce after decades of conflict. Attempting to find a different way to resolve their long-standing disagreements, they decide to have a diplomatic banquet.

Livia, terrorized by her disagreements with how her mother handles Mare, has grown tired of the system. Her motivation starts with a search for real justice and a dream of a government that really looks out for its citizens. She immerses herself in a detailed analysis of different forms of government. In her quest for a substitute that aligns with her fundamental beliefs, she meets Dante.

On the other side, Dante, a devoted citizen and younger brother of the leader of the Democratic Party in Silva, has always loved his country and been proud of his brother, until a mysterious girl emerges, poking holes in his boat that he has tried keeping afloat with naivety. The unexpected arrival creates a problem in Dante's plans, forcing him to confront the harsh truths he had hoped to turn a blind eye to.

As the banquet unfolds, Livia and Dante find themselves on different paths, each holding on to the challenges posed by their respective loyalties and desires for change. The strange girl becomes the spark for a fire that could either burn the fragile truce or pave the way for a new, unexpected era for both Mare and Silva.
